USDA Value-Added Producer Grants

Applications are being accepted now through April 22, 2026, at 1:00 pm EST for USDA’s Value-Added Producer Grants program. Contact your state’s local program official to review application requirements. 

RAFI Southeast US Infrastructure Grants

The eligibility quiz for RAFI’s Southeast US Infrastructure Grants is open now until March 23, 2026, at 12:00 pm EST. Farmers must have three or more years of experience owning and operating their farm to be eligible. To ensure the farm’s long-term viability, funding will be used to either improve current infrastructure or construct new facilities.

SRMEC Stress Mitigation Workbook

The Southern Risk Management Education Center (SRMEC) has released a stress mitigation workbook to assist farmers and members of the agricultural community in managing the various stressors associated with farming.

Southern University AgCenter Certification Programs

Southern University AgCenter is offering free technical assistance certification programs to farmers and small business owners. Certification programs currently available are Foods & Farm Food Safety, Small Business Development, Master Small Ruminant, and Sustainable Urban Agriculture. 

AgPlan

Use AgPlan, a tool created by the Center for Farm Financial Management at the University of Minnesota, to create your business plan. Features include business-type templates, a feature-rich type editor, tips and samples, and plan reviewers.
